FEEDERS

3kg Feeder - Green and White Feeder/Hopper (with lid), UV resistant.  You can either hang these feeders or stand them.  The plastic bars within the feeder stop the chicken throwing feed out of the container and the feed getting spoilt.  Height (including lid) approximately 290mm.  Very easy to clean.

EXAMPLE:-  On average a chicken will consume approximately 150g of feed per day.  For example the 3kg Green and White Feeder, if filled with layers pellets, will last 3 hens approximately one week.  A 5kg Green and White Feeder, if filled with layers pellets, will last 5 hens one week.

EXAMPLE – Generally, if you purchase a 3kg green and white feeder, and you wish to purchase a drinker at the same time, you would purchase either the 4ltr green and white drinker, or the 6ltr red drinker.  Alternatively, if you purchased the 5kg green and white feeder, and you wished to purchase a drinker at the same time, you would generally purchase the 8ltr green and white drinker (size permitting in your coop).  The 30ltr tripod drinker is a great asset to a chicken keeper who has numerous birds, and who likes to ensure their birds never run out of water (especially in the hot summer months).

Poultry Spice 450grm - Poultry Spice is specially recommended for improving all round condition of your bird.  It acts a nutritional supplement that can be sprinkled into their feed, to help birds to get quickly over the moult. Invaluable for chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and game birds. Contains no added preservatives or colours. One teaspoon per 10 birds.

Red Mite Powder 500grm - Red Mite Powder is an effective repellent that is applied to poultry as a proactive ‘on bird’ deterrent against red mite. It contains 100% natural ‘Organic’ ingredients that are entirely non-toxic to poultry and animals. Its contains a synergized tropical plant extract that is mixed with a blend of herbal and essential oils, all of which are proven effective against all types of mite and lice.


Lightly dust Red Mite Powder over the birds. Dependant upon infestation, the powder can be applied again after 5/6 weeks. If you are affected by dust allergies, it’s advisable to wear a mask during application.

Louse Powder 500 grm - Soil Association approved ‘Organic’ product, that can be used on housing and applied directly on the bird.  It is based on sterilized maize powder, and is safe to use. Stays active for up to 6 weeks. No egg withholding.

Vanodine V18 – A safe germicide that kills bacteria, fungi and viruses on contact which cause major diseases in poultry and pets. Can be used to clean and disinfect equipment, added to drinking water as an aid to sterilization, and is safe when diluted for your poultry to drink – it aids the digestive system.

Ivermectin 0.8% - For treatment of lice, mites and worms in poultry and fur, ear and mange, mites and lice in rabbits and guinea pigs. Now available without veterinary prescription. Contains180 Drops of Ivermectin 0.8 % so is very cost effective. Easy to apply.

Applied at the back of the neck - Pigeons 500g One Drop.  Guinea pigs 1kg 2 drops.  Small pet1kg 2 drops.   Medium sized pet 2kg 4 drops.  Large pets over 3kg 6 drops.  Protects birds for up to 6 weeks.

Verm-X – for the natural control of all known ‘internal’ parasites.  Verm-X is a 100% natural herbal formula.  There is no egg withdrawal period – You just add it to your bird’s drinking water for 3 consecutive days each month– 1.5ml per bird (one pump action) - whilst disallowing other drinking water whilst you are administering Verm-X.  Every bottle comes with a dispensing pump calibrated to dispense 1.5ml.

 

Verm-X is ideal for people who want to keep chickens ‘organically’, and who want to choose the ‘natural’ way of controlling parasites.  If you are growing your birds for your dinner table, there is no withdrawal period after using Verm-X prior to eating.

Poultry Shield

Poultry Shield (5 litres) - is one of the best known products on the market to eradicate red mite in your chicken house.  You put it in your garden sprayer, using (10:1) dilution for infestation of red mite, and spray it well in all the cracks and crevices of your poultry house.   Poultry Shield dissolves the wax coating on the body of the red mite and kills both mites and their eggs on contact.  The Poultry Shield can be used with the birds in residence but must not be used on the birds themselves.  Red Mite are carried by the wild birds in your garden.

 

Using this in conjunction with either Ivermectin or Barrier Red Mite Powder (which you put on the bird), to greatly reduce the production/infestation of Red Mite.  Poultry Shield contains no pesticides.

Poultry Grit with Oystershell

Poultry Grit with Oystershell - They need to have a small amount of this once a week.  The grit is stored in the chicken’s gullet which enables the chicken to grid down the food that they eat so that it is easily digestible, and the oystershell is for calcium for the chicken and also strengthens the egg shells that they themselves produce.
